Disclaimer

Last updated: October 14, 2026

CalcSolver is a free educational tool. This disclaimer explains how to use its results responsibly and what we can and cannot promise.

For Learning and Everyday Use

The calculator, math tools, formulas, guides and games on CalcSolver are provided for general education and everyday calculations. They are not professional advice. For financial, engineering, medical, legal or safety-critical decisions, check your results with a qualified professional or an approved tool.

Accuracy of Results

CalcSolver follows standard math rules and shows answers to 12 significant digits. Like all software that uses binary floating-point numbers, it rounds some decimals, and very large or very small numbers are shown in scientific notation. We test our examples carefully, but we cannot guarantee that every result is free from error. If you find a mistake, please let us know.

What CalcSolver Does Not Do

CalcSolver is a numeric calculator. It does not graph functions, solve equations symbolically or perform calculus such as derivatives and integrals. For those tasks, use a graphing calculator or a computer algebra system. Our guide to when to use CalcSolver explains this in more detail.

Exams and School Rules

Online calculators, including CalcSolver, are usually not allowed in exams. The digital SAT provides its own built-in calculator, and the ACT allows approved handheld calculators only. Always follow the calculator policy of your exam, school or workplace.
