CalcSolver is a free online scientific calculator and math solver. We built it for one job: give students, teachers and everyday users a fast, honest answer to a math problem, in the form they actually need, with nothing to install and no account to make.
What CalcSolver Is
CalcSolver is a browser calculator that reads a whole expression, follows the order of operations and shows the answer straight away. When the answer is a clean fraction, it shows that too, so 0.625 also appears as 5/8. It covers trigonometry in degrees or radians, logarithms, powers and roots, percentages, factorials, combinations and permutations, with memory keys, a history of recent answers and a scratchpad for your working.
Everything runs on your own device. What you type is never sent to us, and the calculator keeps working even if your connection drops after the page loads.
What You Can Do Here
How We Keep Answers Accurate
Every calculation follows standard math rules: brackets first, then powers and roots, then multiplication and division from left to right, then addition and subtraction. Answers are shown to 12 significant digits, tiny floating-point leftovers are cleaned up, and impossible calculations get a plain-language message instead of an error code.
Before we publish an example on this site, we run it through the live calculator. Facts about exams, prices and standards link to the official or original source. If you ever spot a mistake, please tell us and we will fix it.
What We Believe In
- Free for everyone. Every feature is free, with no trial, paywall or sign-up.
- Private by design. Your history, notes and settings stay in your own browser. See our privacy policy.
- Honest about limits. CalcSolver is a numeric calculator. It does not graph or do symbolic algebra, and it is not a replacement for the calculator your exam requires.
- Learning first. Fraction answers, a visible expression, history and practice games help you understand the method, not just copy a number.
